A True Heart

King Amaziah lost God's favour because 'He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, yet not with a true heart' (2 Chronicles 25:2)

God is always more interested in your attitude and motives than your achievements. True servants don't use God for their purposes, they let God use them for His.

Are you genuinely interested in God's purposes for our church, or are you a glory-seeking-title-craving worker in church? Are you using your service unto God as a bargaining chip to manipulate God into meeting your needs?

Jesus came but to serve and to give of himself freely. Phillipians 2 says:

Philippians 2:5-7
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

My prayer is that, a transformation in our hearts, and a renewing in our minds will take place.

There is so much work to be done. Nothing else but a servants heart is required.

Lord be gracious. I believe that's why our hearts are more important. Shall not God search this out? For He knoweth the secrets of the heart....Psalms 44:21
It is my prayer that He searches me and knows my heart just as David said in Psalms 139:23-24...search me oh God and know my heart, try me and know my thoughts and see if there be any wicked way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
May my mind be transformed and renewed:

.....take my heart and mould it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it
To yours, to yours, oh Lord
