| Many people today don't even bother to think rationally about what they believe and end up building their entire lives on beliefs that are simply not true. Whatever the news media, a celebrity or a group of friends say suddenly becomes 'truth' to them.
Believing what others say rather than exploring God's Word for yourself will actually limit you and even keep you from doing what God created you to do. But, if you will contend for the truth, embrace it and build your life upon it, you will succeed in every endeavor.
If you want to stay on track with God's Truth, you have to make communication with Him a priority in your daily schedule. I can't urge you strongly enough to communicate with Him frequently through prayer, reading His Word, worship, and simply acknowledging His presence and guidance throughout the day.
When you know God, you know Truth. Living in His Truth will bring peace, freedom, and joy to your life. | |

| It is so important to know God. One can get to know him by fellowshiping with Him on a daily basis. You get closer to God by knowing him and knowing what He what's. The word of God has indeed everything that pertains to life. A scripture that I like so much is in 2 Tim 3:16-17...all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works...thus the importance of the word. The Bible even says the truth will set you free. The word is sooooooo sweet! | |

| The challenge God has had with us throughout history is not the absence of his presence or his word among us. Indeed scipture says in: John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
The challenge has always been doing the word. We do not succeed in exercising the word in truth, we fail to demonstrate to the world at large and to ourselves that we are truly filled with the word. Our stumblings many times are over the smallest of things and these make us look often times the rest of the world from whom we are supposed to be separated. So important was this to the Apostle James, that he admonished: James 1:22-25 22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. 23 For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: 24 For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. 25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
Let us pursue an intimate and affectionate relationship with God by all means through prayer, word, meditation etc. But to what end? To study only? To be religious only? To know God for yourself only? No, not so. Let us heed: Matthew 5:16 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
This is a central pillar of the truth that will set you free. We live not for ourselves, but for others.
