The Importance of prayer

GOD speaks to us through HIS written word the Bible and Christians speak to GOD through prayer.

The bible clearly says we ought to pray without ceasing - 1 Thessalonians 5 vs 17
meaning there are reasons why we need to pray as it is our life line.

1)-We pray for thanks giving *Psalms 95 vs 2 *Psalms 50 vs 14-15

2)-To intercede for ourselves and others *1 Timothy 2 vs 1-2

3)-To tell GOD what we need *Philippians 4 vs 6

4)-For deliverance *Psalms 107 vs 28-30 *Act 16 vs 25-26

5)-For peace *Philippians 4 vs 7

6)-To ask our FATHER *Mathew 7 vs 7 *Mathew 21 vs 22 *Mark 11 vs 24 *John 14 vs 13-14

7)-For healing *James 5 vs 14-16 *James 5 vs 16

-For our spiritual growth *Ephesians 6 vs 18 *Romans 8 vs 26

9)-So that we abide in His will *1 John 5 vs 14-15 * John 15 vs 7

10)-For restoration *Jeremiah 29 vs 11-15

11)-For wisdom * James 1 vs 5

12)-For protection * Psalms 91 vs 1- 16

13)-Above all we pray to worship GOD, to glorify HIM and to owner HIM as we talk to Him

"Qoute" -Prayer is a shield to the soul, a sacrifice to GOD and a scourge to the enemy.
