God Can Use You

Do you seriously think God can’t use you?
Noah was a drunk
Abraham was too old
Isaac was a daydreamer
Jacob was a liar
Leah was ugly
Joseph was abused
Moses had a stuttering problem
Gideon was afraid
Samson had long hair and was a womanizer
Rahab was a prostitute
Jeremiah and Timothy were too young
David had an affair and was a murderer
Elijah was suicidal
Isaiah preached naked
Jonah ran from God
Naomi was a widow
Job went bankrupt
Peter denied Christ
The disciples fell asleep while praying
Martha worried about everything
The Samaritan woman was divorced more than once
Zacchaeus was too small
Paul was too religious
Timothy had an ulcer
AND Lazarus was DEAD

No more excuses now!! God can use you to your full potential.
Besides you aren't the message, you are just the messenger.

I Corinthians 1:26-29
Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him.

BY THE WAY, LAZINESS, PRIDE AND DISOBEDIENCE ( independence ) ARE NOT ON TNE LIST!

Jonah disobeyed but repented and God used him.
Samson disobeyed, did not repent and God stopped using him. HE WAS REPLACED!

WILL GOD USE YOU IF YOU ARE LAZY OR PROUD? .....what do you think?

God can't use me if I'm proud... The following are a few examples of why he wouldn't.

Daniel 5:20
20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:
God gave king Nebuchadnezzar a great kingdom and majesty and glory but when he became proud God took that away from him and drove him into the wilderness.
Everyone that is proud in heart is an abomination to The Lord .....Proverbs 16:5
God resists the proud James 4:6
Pride is one of the seven deadly sins........Proverbs 6:I6-17

The book of proverbs uses 33 verses to condemn laziness. God feels very strongly about a lazy person, so I believe if we are lazy he will not use us.

The Bible says in Romans 2:11...There is no respect of persons with God.
God can use anyone and even anything but when it comes to pride and laziness God detest these.
Laziness....we are told not to be slothful in Heb 6:12 but followers of them who through patience inherit the promises. God doesn't like a lazy person and he detests it.
Pride....the Bible says pride cometh before a fall. God gives grace to the humble, James 4:12 and 1 Pet 5:5
These and many more scriptures as noted by Noma show that God is not pleased with us when we are proud and lazy. How can one be lazy and be able to do what God wants, get up and go and how can one be proud and God uses him. At the end of it he/she will turn and say.... Me...my strength....my this...instead of ...I can of my own do nothing....
