2 Peter 1:3 states that as we grow in our knowledge of God, through His divine power, He gives us everything that we need for life and godliness. Always remember that Jesus relied on the word of God to overcome obstacles, including the devil. God's word is alive and powerful (Heb 4:12...for the word of God is quick and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a discerned of the thoughts and intents of the heart)
